Abstract: Beginning from variational principle of mechanics,this paper sets up dynamic equations of chaser and target during the rendezvous and docking,devires equation of relative motion between two spacecrafts,on this basis,discusses the liquid sloshing laws internal to the chaser during the translation of final approach,further makes qualitative analysis for the rela- tive motion between two spacecrafts,and expounds the effect on dynamics and control due to liquid sloshing in the relative motion of rendezvous and docking.
