Abstract: The rendezvous and docking (RVD) between two spacecrafts in space in-volves both orbit control and attitude control with up to 12 degrees of freedom. It is very com-plex not only in theory but also inimplementation. In order to ensure the success for RVD and minimize the time for RVD, it is necessary f or simulation testing of complete RVD controlsystem with real hardware and onboard software in the loop. This paper primarily discusses the specification of RVD simulation, simulation methodsand critical simulation equipments.
