Abstract: Objective To analyze the risk factor of hypersensitivity reaction caused by oxaliplatin in colorectal cancer patients. Methods A retrospective study was performed on the clinical records of 185 colorectal cancer patients who were treated with oxaliplatin. The demographic characteristics, previous allergy history, laboratory tests, chemotherapy regimens and allergy preventions of those patients were analyzed. Results There were 23 patients experiencing hypersensitivity reactions(17 patients were gradeⅠ/Ⅱ, 6 patients were grade Ⅲ/Ⅳ). Compared with non-allergic group, the allergic group patients had more oxaliplatin-free interval, and the patients of grade Ⅰ/Ⅱ received more oxaliplatin chemotherapy courses. Conclusion Oxalipaltin induced hypersensitivity reaction is related with increased oxaliplatin chemotherapy course and its more frequent oxaliplatin-free interval.
