Abstract: Data from Xiluodu, Xiangjiaba and Xiaonanhai power plants are fully transferred to the monitoring and control system in Chengdu dispatching and control Center. To meet the needs of real-time high capability and reliability of data transmission(more than 200,000 points), and dispatch and control, this paper describes a multichannel, multi-protocol and multi-data sources clustered communication technology in order to ensure reliable and real-time communication data transmission to the maximized extent. Application of the communication technology can break through the bottlenecks of data communication technology of the centralized monitoring and control system for cascade hydropower plants and provide a new method for the development of the communication technology used in the centralized monitoring and control system.
