Abstract: Ideological and political education is an important part in university education. The limitation of traditional content and mode for ideological and political education could not meet the requirement of practical education. The arrival of new media has already changed and provided opportunities for traditional education. Therefore, using new media as a tool of transforming mode, broadening the work positions, and increasing effectiveness of ideological and political education is a challenge as well as an opportu-nity.
