Abstract: Iodide in the maximum chloride is collected on the strong base anion exchangecolumn Removing the interference of chloride bymeans of the difference between affinity of I~-and Cl~-at this column.2.5 M Potassium nitrate is used for the entireeluate.Iodide is determined by the Iodide Ion—selective electrode.The method hasbeen applied to the determination of micro iodide in common salt and oilfieldwater.
