Abstract: Coalbed methane(CBM) is a nonconventional kind of natural gas accompanied by coal. It is not only resources but also greenhouse gases. If the coal mining could exploit and utilize CBM efficiently and safely, we would get considerable economic and environmental benefits. This paper introduced two kinds of CBM extraction methods, compared CBM exploitation technology of domestic and international, analyzed the comprehensive utilization at home and abroad, and pointed out the problems of exploitation technology and utilization of CBM in our country. This paper also introduced the utilization of CBM in Lu’an Group.
