Seismic Performance Research of Prefabricated Wall-Beam Connected In-Plane

Abstract: To provide some references for practical engineering application of prefabricated concrete connections,the seismic performance of prefabricated wall-beam connected in plane under reciprocating loading was studied. Three specimens that connect shear wall with beam in-plane were designed,two of them were prefabricated specimens and the third one was cast-in-place. Through quasi static tests,failure patterns of the two kinds node under reciprocating loading and low-cycle were compared. It is found that processes of fracture,yield and failure are basically same. Compared with the specimen of cast-in-place,the bearing capacity of the prefabricated specimens is less,because there is no special treatment for combination surface of newand old concrete during production of the prefabricated specimens. Displacement ductility coefficients of the two prefabricated specimens are also less than in cast-in-place one,but the difference is not more than 11%.Conclusion is that under the condition of same size and reinforcement,the prefabricated specimenhas similar bearing capacity,ductility and energy dissipation capacity compared with the cast-inplace one.
