Abstract: A hierarchy optimal mode based on digital technology and a optimization method for enclosing system of large-space building were proposed in order to achieve its sustainable development. Adopting digital technologies such as application of parametric design,building performance analysis and building information modeling( BIM),according to the basic steps of "simulation analysis-model construction-optimization and selection",the shape adaptability,the construction logicality and the interface permeability of enclosing system in large-space building were optimized. It is found that the proposed hierarchical optimization mode can realize parametric design,building performance analysis and BIM. The efficiency and accuracy of optimization can be significantly improved. Optimal results increase the functionality,ecology and economy of envelope systems in large-space building. Conclusion is that adopting of digital technology for optimizing enclosing system of large-space building has obvious superiority and positive effects on architecture design andconstruction. It is also an effective way to achieve sustainable development of large-space building.
