The impact of the community nursing intervention of comprehensive evaluation for C and D groups of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) on family members mental health

Abstract: Objective To investigate the impact of community nursing intervention of comprehensive evaluation for C and D groups of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease( COPD) on family members mental health. Methods Between January 2013 and February 2013,in our hospital during the period of comprehensive evaluation for C,group D level of family members,150 cases of COPD patients as the research object,using the self-assessment lists of symptom( SCL90)to the in the mind of 150 family members of patients health assessment,and according to random number table method was divided into control group and observation group,with 75 cases in each group. Control disease health propaganda and education,according to conventional observation group in the control group on the basis of the implementation of community nursing intervention,2,4,and 6 months after intervention to compare the level of anxiety in the families of the two groups( SAS),degree of depression( SDS) score. Results 150 cases of COPD patients’ families SCL90 score compared with the Chinese adult norm,there were five factors scores that were statistically significant( P < 0. 05 or < 0. 01); Families before nursing intervention,two groups of SDS scores of depression,anxiety,SAS score there was no significant difference compared( P > 0. 05). After the intervention,control group families SDS scores of depression,anxiety,SAS score were not significantly different compared with before intervention( P > 0. 05),the observation group families SDS scores of depression,anxiety,SAS scores were significantly lower than before the intervention,with significant difference( P < 0. 05 or <0. 01); families of intervention group after SDS score of depression,anxiety,SAS scores were significantly lower than the control group,with significant difference( P < 0. 05 or < 0. 01). Conclusion Cmmunity nursing intervention measures among patients with COPD families was helpful to alleviate the degree of anxiety and depression.
