Abstract: This paper gives the basic principles of constructing the frequency resource pool for 5G and analyzes the detailed schemes to achieve the targets, including accelerating legacy frequency re-farming, promoting FDD/TDD joint operation, seeking new frequencies bellow and above 6GHz in a step by step way. Moreover, the preliminary consideration on roadmap of frequency evolution for 5G is also given.
