Abstract: After multi-tubular thin wall.fuel elements of HFETR achieved rated maxi-mun heat flux and maximun fast and thermal neutron flux in the first cycle,thetest of deepened depletion is performed in the second cycle.This paper mainlysummarizes the arrangment plan of the second core,the bases of increasing burn-out index,the results of safety check,the comparision between the experimentsand theoretical calculations,the technological and economic effects and so on.
