Abstract: Manchukuo Standardized Residential Design Atlas is the source book for the design and construction of small and medium sized "Japanese-style houses"which is the important historical document reflecting the former construction level of standardized low and multi-layer housings in Manchuyao Period. Based on the study of Manchukuo Standardized Residential Design Atlas,it was made a comprehensive field survey to Changchun existing standardized "Japanese-style houses"in Japanese occupation period. It was recognized that the advanced techniques,methods and materials at that time were used for such Japanese-style houses,which provided an important reference for design and construction of modern buildings in northeastern area of China.
