Abstract: Objective To observe the efficacy of phloroglucinol combined with diclofenac sodium in the treatment of acute renal colic. Methods A total of 116 patients with acute renal colic was equally randomized into 2groups of A(treated with phloroglucinol and diclofenac sodium)and B(treated with diclofenac sodium and anisodamine). The analgesic effect and adverse effects were evaluated at 30 minutes after treatment. Results The overall effectiveness rate was higher in group A than that in group B(91.3% vs.73.4%)(P<0.05).The incidence rate of adverse effects was lower in group A than that in group B(5.2% vs.22.4%)(P<0.05).Conclusion Phloroglucinol combined with diclofenac sodium is effective and with less adverse effects in the treatment of acute renal colic.
