Abstract: In fact,the forerunners have their own political and historical meaning beyond private profit. Zhou Zuoren thinks that the essense of controversy between Chinese medicine and the western medicine is the opposition of ancient and modern groups. Zhou makes decision within a frame work between the old and the new based on the psychological bottom line of life. Zhou’s basic attitude is the outcome of the Enlightenment. Zhou sets up modern principle for human in order to overcome some difficulties. Zhou’s way of literature is to use satire to implicate. After liberation,Zhou deliberately adapts himself to people and politics to harmonize with his environment.
