Abstract: Objective:To explore the effect of atorvastatin on unstable angina in elderly patients. Methods:A total of 90 elderly patients with unstable angina in our hospital were divided into 2groups,conventional therapy group and atorvastatin treatment group.Patients of newly diagnosedwithunstable angina were taken as control. The serum HDLC,LDLC and TG was measured in each group. The expressions of TNF-α,OBRb,Leptin and IL6 were detected by Western Blotting. Results:The content of HDLC was increased while the serum LDLC and TG was decreased greatly in atorvastatin group. The results also showed that the expression of Leptin,OBRb and IL-6,IL-8,IL-1βwas increased while TNF-αwas down-regulated in atorvastatin group patients. Conclusion:Aorvastatin alleviates unstable angina in elderly patients by normalizing the interrupted leptin pathway and pro-inflammatory factors.
