Abstract: Objective:To study the preventive effect dexmedetomidine on emergence agitation of sevoflurane combined with caudal block and its influence on inflammatory stress response.Method:90cases received operation below abdomen in our hospital from 2012 March to 2014 June were enrolled and randomly divided into two groups. They were treated with sevoflurane combined with sacral block anesthesia;observation group was given dexmedetomidine intravenous injection after anesthesia induction and control group was given equal dose of saline intravenous injection. Then vital signs, inflammation response and stress response indicators were compared. Results:HR,CI and RPP of observation group were lower than those of control group;PI3K,ET-1contents of observation group were lower than those of control group,NO content was higher than that of control group;cortisol, aldosterone and blood glucose levels of observation group were lower than those of control group. Conclusion:Dexmedetomidine contributes to stable vital signs, reduces inflammation and stress response;it’s an ideal method to prevent emergence agitation after sevoflurane combined with caudal block anesthesia.
