Abstract: Objective: To investigated the effect of comprehensive nursing intervention in the ICU on the prevention of ventilator associated pneumonia. Methods:86 patients with the high risk of ventilator associated pneumonia were divided into objective group(from Feb 2012 to Jan 2013) and control group(from Jan 2011 to Jan2012) as admission time. The comprehensive nursing intervention plan was used in the objective group. The difference of morbidity,related inflammatory factors and indicators of health economics between the two groups were compared. Results: The morbidity of the objective group was lower than that of the control group. The related inflammatory factors and indicators of health economics of the objective group was more positive for successly preventing the ventilator associated pneumonia. Conclusion:It would get a satisfactory effect to use comprehensive nursing intervention in the ICU on the prevention of ventilator associated pneumonia with the more positive in the immune level,morbidity of conplications and health care burden.
