Abstract: Objective To investigate the significance of detecting serum soluble lectin-like oxidized low-density lipoprotein receptor-1(sLox-1)and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hsCRP)in the patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS).Methods Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to measure serum levels of sLox-1and hsCRP in 34 ACS patients(group A),28 patients with stable angina pectoris(group B)and 27 patients without coronary heart disease(group C).Results Serum levels of sLox-1and hsCRP were higher in group A than those in groups of B and C[(243.20±47.34)ng/L vs.(206.67±52.30)ng/L and(170.45±46.78)ng/L,and(11.53±2.19)mg/L vs.(5.68±1.47)mg/L and(3.43±1.25)mg/L](P<0.05 or P<0.01),which were higher in group B than those in group C(P<0.05).Serum level of sLox-1was positively correlated with that of hsCRP in ACS patients(r=0.927,P<0.01).Conclusion Serum levels of sLox-1and hsCRP are elevated in ACS patients, which may be taken as potential serum markers of plaque instability.
