Abstract: The official archives of Qing government suppressing the Taiping rebellion were compiled shortly after the end of the war. In the new age,26 books on Qing archives were compiled. These archives have their own traits, values and limitations. There are insufficiencies on archives construction and research contents. Only by strengthening the utilization, constantly exploring new archives, expanding contents,converting perspective,doing interdisciplinary research, the utilization and research of these archives will achieve a high level.
