Abstract: A degenerate four - wave mixing interieromter with the photorefractive crystal LiNbO3 : Fe is discussed . The experimental principle and device for realtime testing of the variations of the phases of optical transparent plate objects are presented . The experimental characteristics of the crystal are analysed . Some quantitative results of the nonuniformities of refractive indices and thickness of a glass plate sample are given .
