Abstract: Microstructure and mechanical properties of SUS430 under different annealing conditions were tested. The results show that when annealed at below austenite transformation temperature 926 ℃, if undergoing higher temperature and longer time, it will have lower hardness, strength, and higher elongation ratio. In addition, the elongation ratio of water quenching is lower than air quenching. Compared with annealing below transformation temperature, martensite transformation exits in the process of cooling at 980 ℃. Under the condition of annealed at 700 ℃ for 1800 s, intermediate temperature embrittlement does not happen. Based on experiment conditions, the recrystallization microstructure annealed at 910 ℃ for200 s is the most uniform, and the elongation ratio is highest.
