Abstract: The Electromagnetic Interference(EMI) among various electrical and electronic equipment can be formed by ground current in metal plate via common ground loop impedance. It will even result in the malfunction of the sensitive devices under some serious conditions. However, the common impedance has different value in different loops. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze and study a conductor with proximity. This paper adopts partial element equivalent circuit(PEEC) to model a conductor with proximity, and to obtain the system matrix equation. After matching the corresponding current coefficients expanded in powers of s between the reduced circuit and the original circuit, the resistance, inductance, and mutual inductances of the reduced circuit are provided. And then, the reduced equivalent circuit model regarding of skin and proximity effects is presented independent of frequency. Furthermore, the mutual inductance between the reduced branches and the proximity wires are obtained, which is validated by examples.
