Abstract: Due to factors affecting the strength of lightweight aggregate concrete, it is more difficult to control mix proportion in the actual project. To facilitate the control of various parameters, a lot of tests are performed on different water-cement ratio, cylinder compressive strength, different coarse aggregate and water reduction superplasticizer of different particle size. The results showed that the four parameters have a great influence on the strength of lightweight aggregate concrete. Lightweight aggregate concrete and ordinary concrete are simi-lar, its strength decreases with the increasing water-cement ratio; when 7d of concrete compressive strength reaches around 70% of 28d strength, the compressive strength test block is not proportional to the particle size range. The cylinder compressive strength of the ceramic has a greater influence on the strength of the test piece. The quality of the coarse aggregate should be strictly controlled during the project application. With the same amount of cement, water-reducing rate of superplasticizer has a great influence on the compressive strength of the test block.
