Development of 80-100mm thick low-temperature pressure vessel steel 16MnDR for normalized

Abstract: This paper introduces the development of low temperature vessel plate with the thickness of 80-100 mm and impact at-40 ℃,through reasonable composition and rolling technology design.The plate has good strength and low temperature toughness after post weld heat treatment(PWHT).In order to meet the requirement of the impact at-40 ℃and PWHT at 620 ℃,12 h,the mass fraction of C can control to 0.13 %-0.16 % and finishing temperature to 770-790 ℃ on the production of 16 MnDR with the thinckness less than 80 mm,while the mass fraction of C must control to 0.11 %-0.14 % with a moderate amount of micro alloying elements were added,and finishing temperature to 780-800 ℃ on the production of 16 MnDR with the thinckness 100 mm.
