Abstract: Objective To observe the clinical effect by zinc gluconate in the treatment of infantile rotavirus diarrhea. Methods A total of 664 children with infantile rotavirus diarrhea were randomly divided into experimental group and control group, with 332 cases in each group. The control group received conventional treatment, and the experimental group received additional zinc gluconate for treatment. Curative effects of the two groups were observed. Results The experimental group had the total effective rate as 94.6%, which was obviously higher than 72.9%of the control group (P<0.05). The experimental group had obviously shorter total treatment time and antidiarrheal time than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Zinc gluconate can provide satisfactory effect in treating infantile rotavirus diarrhea with short treatment course and quick effective time. It is easily operational, and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
