Abstract: A density-based CFD program is developed based on 5th order WENO scheme and AUSM+-up flux splitting method,and the flow in the NACA 65 linear cascade under incompressible and subsonic operating conditions is investigated by LES method.The time-averaged pressure coefficient distribution on the airfoil surface agrees well with the experimental results in the literature and thus the reliability of the CFD program is verified.The details of the transient flow field in the cascade are obtained,which reflects the advantage of high resolution scheme in capturing the fine flow structure.The work lays a foundation for further high accuracy LES research on complex compressible flow in the turbo machinery.
