The Investigation of Improved FCM Model

Abstract: This paper performed numerical simulation of the flow field of the Hord’s hydrofoil,based on results of Hord’s experiment.The numerical result shows that the temperature of FCM model cannot correspond with the results of the experiment.The hypothesis of constant bubble number is the cause of the invalidation of FCM model under cryogenic environment where the thermal effect is notable.Finally the improved FCM model is established,which can be used both under the isothermal and the cryogenic cavitation.The validation of improved FCM model is verified by numerical simulation,which shows the great expansion of the improved FCM model’s application field and its applicable value.
