Abstract: Liquid phase-change heat transfer is an efficient cooling method for high heat flux devices.A controllable nano-structure growth method for enhanced liquid phase-change heat transfer is provided in this paper.Well-crystalized ZnO nanowire is prepared by wet chemical method.Various aligned nanowire arrays are produced by using different deposition methods which leads to various surface wettability.Multistep growth is applied to control the nanowire size so that the tuning of surface roughness,nucleation situation and wettability is achieved.
