Abstract: Based on recently developed multiple mapping conditioning(MMC) method for smallscale mixing and reaction-diffusion manifold(REDIM) technology for mechanism reducing,a new combustion model is proposed,which integrates the ’multiple dimensional’ manifold of REDIM with the ’multiple dimensional’ mapping of MMC.The new combustion model is then applied to the hybrid finite volume-Lagrangian particle method.In order to verify the performance of the new model,it is first employed to calculate a one-dimensional premixed laminar flame for predicting laminar flame speed,thickness and the distribution of species.The computational results are then compared with the corresponding direct numerical simulation results,and a good overall agreement is obtained.
