Synthesis and Characterization of Environmental Plasticizer DOTP Derived from Scrap Recycling PTA

Abstract: Recovery of PTA from alkali weight-reduction wastewater by acidification method at different temperature and pH values was studied. Envionmentally plasticizer DOTP was synthesized from scrap recycling PTA and its preparation condition was investigated. The results show that the optimal parameters were as follows:the molar ratio of iso-octanol and PTA is 2.4∶1,the amount of catalyst is 0.5%,reaction temperature is 220℃,reaction time is 4 h. The infrared analysis and quality index test results show that the quality of prepared DOTP is qualified,and conforms to the industrial standard.
