Abstract: A pharmaceutical enterprise which produces bulk drug by chemical synthesis and fermentation adopts the pre-aeration / anaerobic / anoxic denitrification / contact oxidation process to treat the pharmaceutical wastewater and domestic sewage. The effluent quality meets the third class criteria specified in the Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard( GB 8978-1996),and it is discharged into the local urban sewage treatment plant for subsequent treatment.
