Abstract: Experiment of dyeing poplar veneer with different thickness was conducted under different treatments, such as different auxiliaries and dosage, different dye and concentration, continuous dyeing times. The results showed that acid red GR was more difficult to dye poplar veneer than acid yellow and acid blue. Fixing agent and penetrant had little effect on dye uptake, and fixing agent could increase content of soluble chromium in dyed poplar veneer. Dye uptake of veneer had the best effect with 1% of Na Cl. The dyeing permeability of 1mm poplar veneer needed 5 hours, that of 1.5mm 9 hours and that of 2mm 12 hours. The experiments indicated that different dye solution had different concentration, and needed to be added with different continuous dyeing times.
