Abstract: Objective To investigate clinical application value investigation of Wells scores on diagnosis of suspected acute APE in emergency .Methods Clinical data of 76 patients with suspected acute APE in e‐mergency were retrospectively analyzed and divided into 3 group including low degree suspected group ,me‐dium degree suspected group and high degree suspected group according to Wells scores ;and the incidence rate of APE and false positive rate of diagnosis in different groups by Wells score used alone and combined with D - dimer detection were compared .Results There were significant differences in incidence rate of APE and false positive rate of diagnosis among 3 groups(P< 0 .05) .The false positive rate of diagnosis in low degree suspected group by two method combined diagnosis was significantly lower than Wells score used alone(P< 0 .05) .Conclusion Wells scores on diagnosis of suspected acute APE in emergency have advantages including simple operation and high prediction accuracy ;Wells scores combined with D - dimer detection on diagnosis of suspected acute APE is helpful to lower false positive rate of diagnosis .
