Research on Preventing Ultrathin Spring Valve Plate from Deformation by Heat Treatment

Abstract: Ultrathin spring valve plate is easily deformed during heat treatment process. In this paper, a set of self-designed die was employed to correct the quenching deformation of spring valve plate. The result showed that with the increase of temper temperature, the quantity of tempered sorbite was increased. Both the quantity of tempered troostite and the deformation level of valve plate were all decreased. The increase of pre-tightening force made the deformation of valve plate decrease. The heat treatment technology preventing the deformation of ultrathin spring valve plate was confirmed. If the valve plate is quenched in oil after holding at 880℃ for 1min, and is put in the die, held at 400℃ for 1.5 h, air cooling, the level and angle of deformation of valve plate meet the production requirement.
