Abstract: The author takes higher vocational colleges as the starting point by analyzing questionnaire results from 390 higher vocational colleges to explore problems of Chinese current vocational education system, and the results are as follows: lack of link-up between secondary and higher vocational education, lack of uprising channels for higher vocational colleges graduates, as well as lack of efficient connection between vocational education, professional qualification education, and employment. To solve these problems, the recommendations are to improve convergence mechanism between secondary and higher vocational education, train undergraduate and graduate vocational talents, optimize the access of human resource market, establish the united national qualification system, and promote the development of vocational education group.
