Analysis of Characteristics on the Magnetic Angle Sensor

Abstract: An angle sensor based on magneto resistive effect( AMR) and Hall effect is designed. The working principle,composition and function of the circuit are described. The sensor is composed of magneto resistive chip,hall chip,amplifier and filter circuit. By rotating cylindrical permanent magnet to change magnetic field around the magneto resistive chip and the hall chip,the output voltage of the sensor changes,and then the rotation angle is measured. In the structure design of the sensor,static magnetic field finite element analysis for the cylindrical permanent magnet is carried out. The output of the angle sensor is calibrated and analyzed. The test result shows that in the angle range from 0 degree to 360 degree,the repeatability error is 0. 58%,the hysteresis error is 0. 33%,and the integrated error is 1. 82%,which achieves the practical angle measuring accuracy.
