Performance Prediction of a Three-Shaft MW-Level Gas Turbine Supported by Turbine Cooling Model

Abstract: Thermodynamic cycle calculation is an important means for gas turbine performance analysis and design.With the improvement of gas turbine thermodynamic cycle parameters,it must be able to make accurate estimates of the coolant requirement for the turbine cooling at the off-design performance,and consider the coolant’s influence on the engine performance.The paper,based on the model for multi-shaft gas turbine performance calculation,establishes a prediction model for the engine performance with the introduction of hybrid cooling model and the gas mix Hartsel model.The concerned engine steady-state performance are calculated,and the better consistency of the prediction method is validated by comparison with the experimental data and the calculation results supported by simplified cooling model.
