Abstract: A flow energy harvesting device basing on vortex-induced vibration was designed in present work.The device mainly includes a bluff body and piezoelectric beam made of PVDF(Polyvinylidene Fluoride).The vortex shedding leads to the vibration of the beam and the vibrational energy transfers to electric power by considering piezoelectric effect.The numerical analysis has been taken to study the fluid-structure interaction.The lift coefficient,vibrational amplitude and frequency of the piezoelectric beam have been gotten.The position effect of the bluff body and the piezoelectric beam on the efficiency of energy harvesting has been discussed.It can be concluded that high voltage output can be obtained if the circular cylinder and the piezoelectric beam are linked together(L = 0.5D).When Re=6000,the peak value of vibrational amplitude was get A = 0.97 D,and the peak value of the voltage output is 0.923 V.
