Abstract: Residual sulfur-containing compounds in hydrogenated diesel are mainly dibenzothiophene and its derivatives (DBTs). Therefore, removing DBTs from diesel fuels is the key to ultra-deep desulfurization technology for diesel fuels. The hydrodesulfurization, biological desulfurization, oxidative desulfurization and absorptive desulfurization technology are systematically introduced in the paper, in which the latest research progress of reactive adsorption desulfurization is described in detail.
