Abstract: AIM:To study the effects of aspirin on inflammatory responses in polycystic ovarian syndrome(PCOS)rats. METHODS:Combined administration of human HCG and insulin was used for establishing PCOS rat model,PCOS rat weight, ovarian weight, morphology. The effects of aspirin on the levels of serum TNF-α,IL-6and insulin and the expression of IL-6and TNF-α mRNA in ovarian tissue were observed.RESULTS:Aspirin treatment significantly reduced the rat weight and ovary weight in PCOS rats, the ovarian pathological changes, levels of TNF-α,IL-6and insulin in serum and expressions of IL-6and TNF-αmRNA in ovarian tissue were obviously reduced compared with the PCOS rats.CONCLUSION:Aspirin therapy has protective effect on PCOS rats and the effect is closely related to its anti-inflammatory effect.
