Abstract: Based on Arc GIS network analysis and the road length as cost(resistance), the accessibility of park green spaces in the central six districts of Beijing was analysed by using the principles of accessibility. The results showed that the accessibility of the overall space was good, but the accessibility of some local spaces were a little worse, and there were differences among the districts. Up to distances of 500 m, 1 000 m, 1 500 m and 2 000 m, the park service areas accounted for 11.67%, 17.98%, 21.18% and 20.49%(sum: 71.31%) of the study areas, respectively; the service population accounted for 17.08%, 26.06%, 26.49% and 16.06%(sum: 85.69%), respectively. Up to a distance of 2000 m, both of the ratioss of service areas and service population were 100% in the Dongcheng District and the Xicheng District. Ratios of the service areas of the Shijingshan District, the Fengtai District, the Chaoyang District and the Haidian District were 84.62%, 72.34%, 68.19% and 65.14%, respectively. The ratios of service population were 85.53%, 83.47%, 84.04% and 79.53%, respectively.
