Abstract: In order to improve grafting techniques of grapefruit, and to provide a theoretical basis for grafting of grapefruit, some grafting experiments of grapefruit were carried out, from the aspects of different grafting methods, grafting periods, scion ages, scion treating methods, stock speciifcations and different scion cultivars. The results showed that the optimum grafting method was single bud cut-grafting, the best period in spring was the middle of January, and 0.5-and 1-year-old scions were suitable for grafting. It was little effect on grafting survival rate to conserve scions grafted within 24 hours. The grafted new shoot grew well when ground diameter of stock was above 6.00 mm. The survival rates of ifve cultivars of grapefruit were from 87.7%to 95.7%with the single bud cut-grafting method.
