Abstract: This paper uses quantile regression method,tried to reveal the relationship between economic growth and water pollutants in the Yangtze River Delta region,and the following conclusions are drawn:1 ) There exist the rising,not the inverted – U relation between the pollutions and income in the region.2)Quan-tile regression results show that with the increase of GDP,the wastewater discharge is on diminishing-increase trend.3)Further results reveal that the industrial structure urbanization and technology effects tends to slow down.
