Abstract: Nowadays,optic-fiber communication system with speed higher than 10 Gb/s is coming into use.Research and development of high-speed ICs(integrated circuits) for optic-fiber communication systems has become very important.In this paper,a 2- frequency divider in 0.2 μm GaAs HEMT technology was designed for 10 Gb/s optic-fiber link systems.The architecture of the divider is chosen to be a double flip-latch in series one.With a careful optimization and test,the whole circuit can operate at 10 Gb/s and above.
