The Preliminary Study on the Expression of DKK3 in Epithelial Ovarian Cancer

Abstract: Objective: To investigate the relationship between DKK3 expression and the epithelial ovarian cancer(EOC).Methods: Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the difference of DKK3 protein expression among normal ovarian tissues(n=46),benign ovarian tumors(n=39), and EOC(n=88). Chi square test and Fisher’s exact test were used to inspect the relevance between DKK3 expression level and clinicopathological factors. Results: DKK3 expression level downgraded in ovarian carcinoma(p <0.05). DKK3 took no responsibility for the clinicopathologic stage and differentiated degree. Conclusions: DKK3 showed decrease in EOC, and that DKK3 presented a potential predictor to EOC.
