Utilization of antibacterials in a hospital of Anhui during 2012-2013

Abstract: Objective To evaluate the utilization of antibiotics in The Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University,so as to enhance and promote the rational drug use.Methods The relative data of antibiotics from 2012 to 2013 were statistically analyzed by the ordering of consumption sum and frequency of drug use (DDDs),and DDC.Results The portion of the consumption cost of antibi-otics in the total drug cost was declined.The second generation cephalosporin occupied the top place in terms of consumption sum and DDDs for both two years.Conclusions The utilization of antibiotics in this hospital is basically rational,but it is still necessary to focus on rational drug use.
