Abstract: Semantization of library resources is an important research topic with common concern in communities of culture, library and information, and computer science. Along with the application of existing semantic technology and the evolution of user needs, resource semantization urgently needs to interoperable improvements on the depth and efficiency of semantization. So, a new concept of metrics ontology is emerging at the right moment. In this paper, metrics ontology for semantization of digital literature resource is defined as displayed description of conceptualization in digital literature resources based metrics analysis. The concept and principle, basic elements and theoretical framework, and building process are illustrated, which provides a deeply interpretation about theoretical connotation of this new ontology pattern and makes beddings for its extended application in follow up research.
