Abstract: Detective novel, as a specialized offshoot of novel categories, its special charm wins the approval of a quantity of readers. In the detective novel history, there are enormous works, better-known detective novelists, as well as impressive detective figures. Moreo-ver, its unique style, rules and creation purpose lay a status for detective novel in literature. Although detective novel holds a unique place in modern letters, it does not fall under the head of fiction in the ordinary sense. It just belongs to a complicated and extended puzzle case in fictional form, because it has many detects in itself and lacks the features possessed in mainstream literature.
