The formula of coal gangue’s seismic subsidence considering the confining pressure and dynamic stress is established based on experimental result. The seismic response characteristics of coal gangue subgrade are analysed by using the finite difference program. The result shows that( 1) the relationship between the logarithm of coal gangue’s cumulated axial strain of and amplitude of dynamic loads is linear;( 2) the shoulder would appear shear zone and landslide under random seismic load, which would be more seriously when the strength of earthquake swells;( 3) the residual deformation of pavement is large at outside and small at middle, which is different from subsidence deformation of pavement under dynamic load of vehicle. The result could provide a reference for seismic design of coal gangue subgrade.
